Sustainability - together for a better future
Sustainability at SCN is a shared effort with customers and partners to accelerate a more sustainable society. Every day we help organizations identify and implement the most sustainable technology choices that also improve performance and lifetime value. As part of Addtech, our work is guided by a clear Code of Conduct and certified quality and environmental management systems ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
Value is created when technology delivers real societal benefits. We support the electrification of work machines, energy‑efficient industrial automation, medical technology that improves care, and the production and distribution of renewable energy. Our sustainability goals include reducing CO₂ emissions by 50 percent by 2030 and aligning all business with the UN Sustainable Development Goals where we can create the greatest impact.
Our sustainability goals: measurable and business-critical
SCN views quality and sustainability as business-critical to remaining a key supplier in the future. By measuring and following up on our goals, we are better equipped to prioritise and choose sustainable collaborations.
Our greatest environmental impact comes from freight. That is why we maintain an active collaboration with our freight partners and consistently choose greener transport options.

Our goal is to reduce CO₂ emissions by 50% by 2030 by actively choosing green transport options together with our logistics partners.
SCN is a part of the Addtech Group
Addtech’s comprehensive climate targets have been approved and validated in accordance with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) since May 2024, a global initiative that promotes ambitious climate action and supports organisations in setting science-based climate targets. SBTi ensures that targets are aligned with the latest climate science and the goals of the Paris Agreement, meaning our commitments go beyond ambition, they are grounded in what is actually needed to limit global warming.
As part of Addtech, SCN’s commitments are equally important, Addtech’s goals are our goals. We report sustainability data annually, reviewed by a third party, and actively work to reduce our carbon intensity, improve supplier follow-up, and increase equality and diversity within our organisation. Sustainability is not a separate agenda for us, it is embedded in how we do business every day.
SCN and the UN Global Goals
The Global Goals for Sustainable Development were adopted by the UN General Assembly in 2015 as part of the 2030 Agenda. At SCN, we work with our customers to contribute to several of these goals – including good health and well-being, clean water, clean energy, sustainable industry, responsible production, and more sustainable maritime transport. By 2030, our ambition is that all our business will be connected to at least one of the Global Goals.
A supply chain is only as strong as its weakest link
To ensure that our partners meet our high standards, they are required to fulfil and sign our supplier code of conduct before becoming approved partners. Through the code, we work to ensure that minimum requirements are met in areas such as: human rights, working conditions, equal treatment, anti-corruption, and environment. This helps ensure that sustainability and responsible business practices are upheld throughout our supply chain.
Code of Conduct: how we act and take responsibility
Our Code of Conduct summarizes how every employee is expected to act in an ethical, social and environmentally responsible way. It outlines the minimum standards for integrity, human rights, labour practices, anti‑corruption and environmental responsibility across the Addtech Group. These principles are based on the UN Global Compact, the ILO core conventions, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and OECD guidelines, forming a clear ethical foundation for our entire organisation.
Addtech’s decentralized structure is built on freedom with responsibility, giving individuals room to act while providing a shared ground that ensures consistency and accountability. With this code, it becomes easier for everyone at SCN to take responsibility, make the right decisions and contribute to long‑term trust in all business relationships.
